Fan page

Good grumpy February!!  As many of you might know this already in Yogi And Furriends fan page on Facebook, Yogi has been calling herself "the prejident" lately.  she says that Lion is the King of cats, and she (Yogi) is the prejident of cats. (the picture of our prejident above). nobody oppose to it so far, so I think she is the prejident.

Anyway, I hink I want to write something about Fan pages on Facebook. I've just found strenji fan page that is about little beauty queen contestants with some unnatural photos of little girls in swimsuits with too much make up for such contest, and says (the page is) "FB official page" (but I hink any admin can display "official" sign).  when I looked at the wall writing, most active members or visitors seemed the stage moms of those little girls or other moms who are interested in it, I didn't see men there but anyone can look at their photo pages and can even download, I am not sure if it's OK to be on FB.  Such beauty contest thing may not be violation, but some twisted people see it  in not the way they are supposed to be, and enjoy it.(and some or many of them get ideas to do bad things to children too). FB generally do not allow kids to have FB acct and do not encourage them to be on FB, then post their sexy(but unnatural) photos on FB by their parents are OK?

I worry about my furriend Luna (the fashion kitty) fan page bit.. I think some people using her page for
using her popularity to get her over 9000 fans's attention for posting unrelated/unnecessary topics.(not about animals, not fashion, nothing to do with Luna.....)  I heard that she is busy enough just for checking her page lately, can not reply to all comments now, so .. the people who post unrelated, unnecessary posts on her page should consider it if they really care about Luna and her mom.

Our Yogi And Furriends fan page have not much problems so far. But there was a little incident last week.  there was a strenji woman who apparently drunk or in drag problem or dumped by a man,  kept writing on Yogi page that Yogi's ears are dirty under several photos of Yogi, including under the photos of Yogi with clean ears. that was unnecessary.  Yogi can argue with her negative opinion or critiques, But her fan page is the space for Yogi fans who love Yogi, they don't want to hear anything bad about Yogi, negative opinion about Yogi, somebody criticize Yogi.. No.  If I continue allowing such a bad mannered person to visit and write bad comments on Yogi page, it makes Yogi fans feel uncomfortable, so with Yogi momsy, we decided to tell the purrson not to visit us on Yogi And Furriends page again. (the person got Yogi momsy mad too, of course)

And anyone who want to post Homeless cats info, Petition related post on Yogi And Furriends, please show the article you want to post on Imoe cat personal FB page first, or send Imoe via message. Some people post those links/article directly on Yogi And Furriends, but posts by individual are likely ignored on fan page.(people don't see it, I mean. need to post as Yogi And Furriends to get more viewers).

And someone have posted the link to Auction page for raising money for rescues before, it is OK, we thought it was good thing to help and involve, and we donated Yogi bag and tee then(raised $35 or so),
but processing after each auction ended was too slow. took nearly a month to receive shipping info and postage from the Fund raiser. the cause itself is good idea, but if it does not process everything in timely manner, I can not recommend it to people.
please don't post about business(including charity related) if they are not very responsible.

That's all my thoughts of fan paje today.

News from Japan

Hellow Furriends!!! it's Now Monthly Yogi, not Daily-Yogi. we've been getting busier.. Imoe can not even make funny photos of Yogi now. (was planning to do that again daily when 2012 began..). we'll sell V-Day Yogi merchandise in Feb, and Yogi And Furriends fan page has reached 1,000 fans in December. we host and update the page daily.  now Yogi even got a modeling job offurrr for Sphynx clothes plus size.

you know, we often write here that Yogi was once a homeless cat. look at what this ex-homeless cat does now!! Homeless cat can be a super star like Yogi, loved by many people around the world. helps other needy homeless furriends(we sell Yogi merchandise and share the income with needy furriends).  if anyone who think homeless pets are like trash, I want them to learn about a cat like Yogi.

By the way, there were very interesting news I read 2 days ago.. both incidents took place in the same day in Japan..similar case.
the first one was that 74 yr old man killed his 48 yr old son because the son was torturing a cat in their house. people who heard this news saying that the old man did the right thing.
then the second one was the 71 yr old man walking on the street saw a man with a dog, he kicked the man's dog(not sure why), then the man(dog owner) got mad, and pushed the 71 yr old man to the ground, the 71 yr old hit his head hard then, and died instantly..
the paper said not OK to kill anyone for abusing/torturing animals. I know, but it's OK to hear this kind of news sometimes, so animal abusers/torturers might feel that oneday they might get hurt or killed by someone..
I was glad to hear that people who love and care about animals did not just be patient in those 2 incidents, the brave men decided to fight back for their dog/cat, and both bad men died.

MY XXX'MAS 2011

 Hellow furriends!! sorry I did not update this blog for a month!! now this is like "Monthly Yogi". By the way,  how was  your XXX'mas? did you have a gud time with your furrmily and furriends?  I had a work on XXX'mas. you know, I had to sit on the dinner table as a faux ham all day. Like Santa Claus, when almost evvybody else take day off and have fun, I have to work. but the other 364 days/year, same as Santa, I have plenty of free time, allowed to sleep as long as I want, so it's OK.

 Well... my XXX'mas surrprise to my fans was this(see pic).

Hellow.  It's almost the end of 2011. Shanks Givving weekend is almost over, XXX'mas is coming soon. Speeking of Holidays, we think of Gifts. Speeking of it, ShanQ fur furriends who have purrchased the Holiday Yogi purrse and Calendar. (still available, some furriends were impatient, could not wait to get them until XXX'mas, so they shopped early).

I was not going to talk about how popular Yogi merchandise was, but I'd like to talk about gifts today.
Last time I mentioned that I'd release fan mail address for Yogi (P.O Box).   I can release the address now;

This is not physical address of Yogi, she is in CO, but far away from this P.O address, Imoe gonna pick up mail for Yogi.  Letters, cards, photos of furriends only pleese.  Gifts to Yogi accepted only if it's handmade by you, and not in XXXL size packaji. Yogi mom can afford to buy anything from store, so she says no Shanks to gifts from store. if you have XXXtra money to buy gift to Yogi,  please spend the money for needy homeless furriends in your area. they appreciate XXXtra money for them, and that's the gift Yogi wants most (having thoughtful fans who care about homeless furriends).  Or buy Yogi merchandise for yourself, we Yogi And Furriends gonna use part of sale  from merchandise sale to donate needy homeless furriends.

My Mom had a strenji furriend in Japan, the furriend liked to give gifts to people, that is nice, but she often sent me , Imoe the cat, cat food ~including a box of dry cat food (Whiskas in a box printed with Japanese company name), canned cat food, treats etc.. to USA via Air mail. To send me a box of dry food, she paid over $30 for shipping!! the food itself was approx $5(in Japanese currency). I didn't know why she was OK to waste money in such way. if she did not ship it to me to US, she could spend $30 for better way.. that money could afford to pay 6 more boxes of the food.. she could have given those extra food to needy homeless street cats in Japan. my mom always told her that Imoe is very finicky and does not eat most food(that was true), but she never stopped sending me gifts like dat. (mom often took those food to adoption place(inside pet supply store) to donate). I hink a purrson like mom furriend just wants to impress other people, and to do so, she even want to waste money. that is not good.

Let's Recycle!!

Hellow. I am sorry for not updating this blog. Me, Imoe had to move to a new house recently, so I had no time .. now I'm at new house, things have been getting back to normal little by little.  While I was not here, there were some news about Yogi.  Her fan page on Facebook "Yogi And Furriends" has now 886 fans(as of today), I hope we'll reach 1,000 fans soon.
And speaking of my new house.. finally I moved in the neighborhood where US post office is in walking distance!! So I've got P.O Box there, and this P.O Box address will be used for Yogi business/her fan mail address.  I'll release the address soon.

Anyway, today I'd like to talk about Recycling. I am the type of a purrson who can not throw away things.. and want to keep stuff(such as plastic bags, shopping bags from stores, papers with blank one side, empty boxes from mail, ribbons from gifts, etc..). used clothes are no exception, I have saved some to make doll clothes, or some accessories for child purrson.
There days People have been talking about recycling more than ever. not only me, many people want to help eliminate wasteful things.(but my daddy is anti-recycle man, I often get tempted to scratch him).

This is an idea I've introduced recently on Yogi And Furriends page. "How to make an instant dress/sweater for your pet with USED Socks". Take a look at the picture of How to..(below)

Isn't that easy? I liked the idea because we can use Used socks for making this dress. some furriends used sleeves from Used long sleeve shirt instead, and for adult cats, you might need to get Used sock from XL daddy, (and of course, Yogi needs to get one from ShaQ).

And I've just found a verrry intersesting book that I was waiting for.
2 yrs ago I remember my furriends and I were wondering if there was the way to recycle cat hair because we saw someone made a doll or something out of cat hair on FB. we asked the purrson how to do that then, of course, but sounded complicated to do, also someone said it was impossible..so I forgot about it for a long time until today!!

This is the book about how to make craft with cat hair!! (by a Japaneese purrson.. I need Japanese edition instead of translated edition in English).


Of Course Yogi can not make anything with this book, but if you have regular cat with fur, you can try. evvyone should make the small finger puppet that looks like your cat at least one, with her/his fur. Someday he/she is gone, but you can always remember his/her with his/her real fur puppet.

I hink recycling in this way is fun. recycling idea like this makes me feel good too.
