Yogi and Bijiness~Yogi on Twitter

 Hellow. We've celebrated fur 1 st Anniversary of Yogi fan page (Facebook) "Yogi And Furriends" last month, now.. this Blog is also 1 st Anniversary today(April 16), Miss Tamar from I HAVE CAT blog has suggested me to start Yogi Blog about a year ago (* the cat Miss Tamar owns, you see on the blog profile page is not me).  I was not sure if I could do, but tried anyway.. now this blog has average 1,000 visitors/month. I think that is good. (ShanQ Tamar!) Anyway We're gonna talk about Yogi And Bujiness in the next 30 days.

 As some fans know, we sell Yogi merchandise and donate part of sales to needy homeless furriends, tortured victims, or rescues. To help them more, Yes, we need to promote Yogi to be more popular, and to help Yogi be more popular.. what do we have to do?..Buying fans for her FB fan page? (I heard it's possible, what a sneaky feature/option!. We do not cheat the number of Yogi fans 'cause we really want to know who really likes her, don't want to know the number of volunteers). No, but one thing I know is "making connection" is effective and important to build any bijiness, and Yogi has started Twitter last month. but I didn't know what to expect, or what was gonna happen at all..

On the First day we've started adding people to follow by searching for the people who like cats including few celebs, Tweeted some people, and what I found in my In-box next morning was ..

 I could not believe this, all those happened within 24 hrs of opening acct!!. Nicole Richie answered Yogi in this tweet.  Since this was the first Interactions for Yogi on Twitter, I didn't know what it was at first. I thought she was talking to @joel Madden(her husband whose name is also on this Tweet) but I think  Nicole is talking to Yogi : "OK by me, that's how Joel Madden describes me sometimes".
The original Tweet from Yogi to Nicole was like.."Hi Nicole, I heard you have a cat, I'm a Sphynx cat, I hope you are OK with cats with no fur".

And on the Day 2, I was gonna announce Yogi fans about Yogi acct on Twitter, posted the info on Facebook, and I don't know why, but I saw this on FB..

There was Anti Fur, Anti Kardashians protest in the last weekend, Yogi Tweet was involved with Barbi Twins and their followers (retweeted by 21 people!! scary... I think they trusted Yogi 'cause she naturally looks like a cat with "NO FUR" policy).
I was so happy to know that even celebs like Barbi twins liked Yogi funny pic made by me.

And this was the record of little chat with Lisa loeb. She said Yogi "Nice picture!". wow!

 I think Yogi does great job on Twitter. all these happened to her in the first 30-40 days of opening her acct.
Yogi also Tweets in Japanese from this acct and got some followers from Japan. Can't wait to see how her Twitter 6 months later looks like.....

Yogi And Furriends #3~Jamaica Cat

 Hello.  As we mentioned earlier this month, we'll talk about Yogi And her furriends in this month for celebrating The First anniversary of Yogi And Furriends fan page on Facebook. I instantly decided to crate Yogi fan page that day, and immediately got the idea of the name of the page inspired by the Children show "Miffy And friends" (used to be on Noggin channel in USA, Dutch author Dick Bruna's famous bunny Miffy's 3D TV show), and that's why the name of the page is Yogi And Furriends.
I think I was right to have decided the name for the page because it is the space for Yogi and her furriends communicate with, and enjoy the talk, post...

 Anyway, we'd like to introduce Jamaica cat to you here today.  He's an Exotic shorthair. (shorthair Persian.. that's what our furriend Luna the fashionkitty said).  As you see, he's very very cute. we know him for a long time on FB.

 Not only looks cute, he has very good purrsonality too. He shares his house with other animals such as dogs, other cat, bird, even with a reptile,  and he gets along with them very well except the bird in his house often bothers Jamaica.. (but still he never be aggressive towards the bird. Even when the bird dropped his poop on Jamaica's gorgeous fur, he did not complain).  Jamaica is very nice guy.

Yogi And Furriends #2 ~Butterball (Mini Yogi)

 Hello. Oh yes, to celebrate 1 st Anniversary of Yogi And Furriends, Yogi blog talk about Yogi's Furriends in this month.  But before we introduce a furriend, we have news to announce furst that Yogi has now Twitter acct. if you have Twitter acct, pleese follow the prejident of the cat. From the first day, she has got 2 celeb followers (singer Lisa Loeb and Playmate Barbi Twins), and yet on her day 2 on Twitter, Nicole Richie replied to Yogi, and Barbi Twins has retweeted Yogi's tweet twice already. Her Twitter update is in Plug in area(right side of this page. keep scrolling down pleese), or find her on Twitter @prejidentyogi .


 Now talk about furriend. Today we are introducing "Butterball" AKA Mini Yogi, He is a young Sphynx boy looks like Yogi.
He lives with his dad who loves him very much.

 He looks like Yogi, doesn't he? But Butterball has less wrinkles and not grumpy, and he's size S or M.

He enjoys playing outside. (Yogi sleeps all day) . He is very good at catching lizards.

His dad has made many videos of Butterball and you can watch him in action on YOU TUBE. (really there are so many, I can't pick one, so please visit there and watch anything you like).

Yogi fans believed it was Yogi.  He really looks like Yogi. But I hope he stays physically active to keep his slim body. (Yogi does not recommend any furriends to be overweight, she knows it is not good).

Yogi And Furriends

 Hellow. As you might have seen on Facebook, Yogi celebrated for the 1 ST Anniversary of Yogi And Furriends fan page yesterday (March 2).  it's been a year since we've created the page. Now Yogi has over 1000 fans, sells her merchandise,  has blog in English and Japanese, even appeared on CFA Persian cat website. I think we can say it's one of successful pet fan pages. we'd like to say ShanQ to her fans for their support.

Since the name of the fan page is "Yogi And Furriends", I'd like to talk about Yogi's furriends.  First, this fluffy handsome furriend, Boomer Bark.

Boomer is one of our old FB furriends, we've been furriends for about 2 yrs now. As you see, he's gorjas Rag doll.  He's one of the happiest cats with lovely human parents. He likes to giggle.

Luna too one of our old furriends. Yesterday, it was her celebration too for welcoming her 10,000th fan on her fan page on FB. (it was 800 or so when I joined her fan page 15-16 months ago..). I've been a witness of  her progress and her being popular. it was not easy to be popular that much, she and her mom has made lots of effort.

Fan page

Good grumpy February!!  As many of you might know this already in Yogi And Furriends fan page on Facebook, Yogi has been calling herself "the prejident" lately.  she says that Lion is the King of cats, and she (Yogi) is the prejident of cats. (the picture of our prejident above). nobody oppose to it so far, so I think she is the prejident.

Anyway, I hink I want to write something about Fan pages on Facebook. I've just found strenji fan page that is about little beauty queen contestants with some unnatural photos of little girls in swimsuits with too much make up for such contest, and says (the page is) "FB official page" (but I hink any admin can display "official" sign).  when I looked at the wall writing, most active members or visitors seemed the stage moms of those little girls or other moms who are interested in it, I didn't see men there but anyone can look at their photo pages and can even download, I am not sure if it's OK to be on FB.  Such beauty contest thing may not be violation, but some twisted people see it  in not the way they are supposed to be, and enjoy it.(and some or many of them get ideas to do bad things to children too). FB generally do not allow kids to have FB acct and do not encourage them to be on FB, then post their sexy(but unnatural) photos on FB by their parents are OK?

I worry about my furriend Luna (the fashion kitty) fan page bit.. I think some people using her page for
using her popularity to get her over 9000 fans's attention for posting unrelated/unnecessary topics.(not about animals, not fashion, nothing to do with Luna.....)  I heard that she is busy enough just for checking her page lately, can not reply to all comments now, so .. the people who post unrelated, unnecessary posts on her page should consider it if they really care about Luna and her mom.

Our Yogi And Furriends fan page have not much problems so far. But there was a little incident last week.  there was a strenji woman who apparently drunk or in drag problem or dumped by a man,  kept writing on Yogi page that Yogi's ears are dirty under several photos of Yogi, including under the photos of Yogi with clean ears. that was unnecessary.  Yogi can argue with her negative opinion or critiques, But her fan page is the space for Yogi fans who love Yogi, they don't want to hear anything bad about Yogi, negative opinion about Yogi, somebody criticize Yogi.. No.  If I continue allowing such a bad mannered person to visit and write bad comments on Yogi page, it makes Yogi fans feel uncomfortable, so with Yogi momsy, we decided to tell the purrson not to visit us on Yogi And Furriends page again. (the person got Yogi momsy mad too, of course)

And anyone who want to post Homeless cats info, Petition related post on Yogi And Furriends, please show the article you want to post on Imoe cat personal FB page first, or send Imoe via message. Some people post those links/article directly on Yogi And Furriends, but posts by individual are likely ignored on fan page.(people don't see it, I mean. need to post as Yogi And Furriends to get more viewers).

And someone have posted the link to Auction page for raising money for rescues before, it is OK, we thought it was good thing to help and involve, and we donated Yogi bag and tee then(raised $35 or so),
but processing after each auction ended was too slow. took nearly a month to receive shipping info and postage from the Fund raiser. the cause itself is good idea, but if it does not process everything in timely manner, I can not recommend it to people.
please don't post about business(including charity related) if they are not very responsible.

News from Japan

Hellow Furriends!!! it's Now Monthly Yogi, not Daily-Yogi. we've been getting busier.. Imoe can not even make funny photos of Yogi now. (was planning to do that again daily when 2012 began..). we'll sell V-Day Yogi merchandise in Feb, and Yogi And Furriends fan page has reached 1,000 fans in December. we host and update the page daily.  now Yogi even got a modeling job offurrr for Sphynx clothes plus size.

you know, we often write here that Yogi was once a homeless cat. look at what this ex-homeless cat does now!! Homeless cat can be a super star like Yogi, loved by many people around the world. helps other needy homeless furriends(we sell Yogi merchandise and share the income with needy furriends).  if anyone who think homeless pets are like trash, I want them to learn about a cat like Yogi.

By the way, there were very interesting news I read 2 days ago.. both incidents took place in the same day in Japan..similar case.
the first one was that 74 yr old man killed his 48 yr old son because the son was torturing a cat in their house. people who heard this news saying that the old man did the right thing.
then the second one was the 71 yr old man walking on the street saw a man with a dog, he kicked the man's dog(not sure why), then the man(dog owner) got mad, and pushed the 71 yr old man to the ground, the 71 yr old hit his head hard then, and died instantly..
the paper said not OK to kill anyone for abusing/torturing animals. I know, but it's OK to hear this kind of news sometimes, so animal abusers/torturers might feel that oneday they might get hurt or killed by someone..
I was glad to hear that people who love and care about animals did not just be patient in those 2 incidents, the brave men decided to fight back for their dog/cat, and both bad men died.
